Dr. Andrey A. Shakhov, is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and as such, an  Active Member of  several professional Associations and Plastic Surgery Societies. 
He received his Medical Doctor diploma Magna cum Laude (with top honors)  from the Ukranian Medical Academy in the year 1995.
He completed his five and a half years in training in Craneomaxillofacial Surgery and Head and Neck Reconstructive Microsurgery at the prestigious Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Moscow. During these years he commuted to New York City and spent several long periods of time at the Institute for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the famous NYU Medical Center and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.
After that Dr. Shakhov completed a full year of intense surgical training under the guidance one of the founders of modern Plastic Surgery Prof. Jaime Planas in the “Clinica Planas” in Barcelona (Spain). He published results of his work in the leading medical Journal – “Aesthetic Plastic Surgery”.   
Dr. Shakhov completed three years of training dedicated almost exclusively to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in the famous Institute for Reconstructive Surgery "Dr. Jose Guerrero Santos". During this period of time he developed new techniques in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, specifically in the field of Aesthetic Rhinoplasty.
Dr. Shakhov was then invited to join Dr. Bruce F. Connell at his prestigious Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship in Santa Ana, California, dedicated almost exclusively to modern face lift techniques and their application in different clinical situations.   
Dr. Shakhov fluently speaks Russian, Ukrainian, French, Spanish and English languages. He is Active Member of many professional Associations and author of more than 40 scientific publications. He is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and has access to surgical privileges at the best Hospitals. His private office is based in Hospital Angeles Tijuana - one of the most prestigious hospitals at the international level, located just a short distance drive from your Southern California location.
